They end up in Reliance, where this old building still stands...looks like its last use was as a store, but it seems to have been a lodge, school, and church, according to this history.
 

A nice place to land; you can rent a boat here and take a ride to the put-in upstream. (Hiwassee Outfitters or Webb Brothers)
