After the frost

Despite the rainy, cold last few days we've been seeing the beginnings of the wildflowers. Trilliums are showing up all around. Lots of pink ones of various shades, but a few white ones too..... Posted by Hello

I don't think I've ever seen a pink trillium, and I saw lots of varieties in the Smokies. I've missed out on the lady slippers this year also, so thanks for posting these.

I'm pretty sure they were all white where I grew up in upstate NY, and in other places in these mountains I've lived in. ...the pink ones are new to me.
